HI! We have had a wild time over the last few weeks. First, let me share my morning with you! Mimi Cate struggles with letters and numbers. One day she recognizes letters, the next we start from the beginning and relearn their shapes. Well, imagine our surprise... as we drove home last night, Mimi Cate said "Mom, that sign says 'S-T-O-P, that says stop." WHAT?!? Did you just read a word?!? Then, this morning we working on letters in her journal and she wrote "STOP" four times AND numbered them 1-4. THIS IS HUGE! I thought this would take years to accomplish. PRAISE & GLORY to God!
Do you remember our old blog during Mimi Cate's adoption? We stayed with a family in Odesa, Ukraine and fell in love. I am convinced that the Puzanovs are my spiritual parents. I have grieved being seperated from them so very much. Well, I LOVE FACEBOOK! I found Tolik and Tania. Tolik just arrived in Texas to study. He came to our home for two weeks and we had so much fun! He is our little brother. I wept in church that first Sunday together. I have believed that we would not stand shoulder to shoulder singing God's praises until we were reunited in Heaven someday. I sobbed uncontrollably when he handed me the phone and his mother's voice was greeting me from Ukraine. I have skyped, emailed, telephoned, and texted this family and now we pray that we will be reunited with the rest of them by the end of the year. Please pray that Tania, Luda, and Valery will be able to join us in Texas for a visit.
We have had the plague of electronic failures over the last two weeks, as well. Mimi Cate threw my laptop and destroyed the motherboard beyond repair. (Rob replaced the laptop with an ASUS laptop. It is a "gamer" pc that has flames on the cover. We have named it "El Fuego.") The dishwasher broke. The dryer is determined to only operate on the hottest and longest cycle. Then, our Navigators young lady lost her Apple Desktop to some crazy disease that has inexplicably crippled her as she plans a mission trip to Mexico for Spring Break. Lord! We implore you to lift the plague of electronic collapse.
Alright, I will write more later and post pics. Have a delightul day. I am off for a PTA meeting, errands, errands, errands, horse paperwork, phone calls, baking, dinner, laundry... OH MY!

Yeah, Mimi Cate for your success in school work! Yeah, Mom for celebrating it...and for, mmm...how shall we say it, allowing her to live to see the light of a new day - and still continuing to love her to pieces even after she destroyed your laptop. OUCH!
I hope the plauge of the electronic curse is lifted soon.
