Mimi Cate is always moving, talking, fidgeting, flayling... constant motion! She breaks so many things because she is our bow-headed, always smiling, pink tornado. Mimi Cate understands right from wrong but, struggles with positive rewards and negative consequences. So often, I exhasperatedly wonder, "Will she ever be still? Will she ever get it?!?"
Well, last Friday, we were in the car for over an hour. She was truly struggling to keep it together. PEACE BE STILL came on the CD Player. This little girl who can't keep from moving the slightest twitch in her toes, became still and quiet. She started singing so softly. As the song ended, Mimi Cate whimpered...
"Mommy, that song makes my heart cry."
She gets it!!! Peace for a child that has none. That song touched her heart. Thank you, Lord. She had struggled for so long with allowing us to truly love her. She is allowing God to lavish His love on her, as well. My heart swells with its own tears for her.
lo...
I made a quick visit to RapidMed last night. I chose to slice off the tip of my finger as I peeled carrots for our meal. Yuck! I left the clinc with a huge bandage and metal brace wrapped around my middle finger. It's a good thing that I am held accountable by the "Moms In Touch" license plate holder on the back of my car. I could have had a bit of fun flipping off those crazy drivers.
Have a delightful day!
